This page explains what cookies and similar browser technologies cld2day uses, why they are used, and how you can control or remove them.
Last updated: April 2026
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website or third-party service. Similar technologies include browser local storage and session storage, which work differently from cookies but serve comparable purposes — such as remembering choices or measuring usage. Unlike cookies, local storage data is not sent to the server with each request and does not expire automatically.
cld2day uses a limited combination of first-party storage and third-party cookies for three specific purposes: storing your consent choice, protecting the contact form from spam, and — with your explicit consent — loading analytics to measure general usage patterns. No advertising or remarketing cookies are used.
The table below covers the technologies currently in use on this website.
| Name / Key | Type | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
cld2day_consent |
Local Storage | cld2day (first-party) | Stores your cookie consent choice so the banner is not shown on every visit | Persistent (until cleared) |
_GRECAPTCHA |
Cookie | Google (third-party) | Security and spam protection on the contact form via Google reCAPTCHA | 6 months |
_ga |
Cookie | Google Analytics (third-party) | Distinguishes unique users for analytics measurement — loaded only after consent | 2 years |
_ga_* |
Cookie | Google Analytics (third-party) | Maintains analytics session state — loaded only after consent | 2 years |
_gid |
Cookie | Google Analytics (third-party) | Distinguishes users across sessions — loaded only after consent | 24 hours |
Strictly necessary technologies — including the consent storage key and Google reCAPTCHA — are used on the basis of legitimate interest in operating and protecting a functional website. These do not require your consent. Analytics cookies are loaded only on the basis of your explicit consent, which you provide through the cookie banner.
When you first visit cld2day, a cookie banner allows you to accept or reject optional analytics cookies. Your choice is stored in browser local storage so the banner is not shown again on subsequent visits. If you reject analytics, Google Analytics is not loaded during that session or any future session until you change your preference.
You can review or change your consent at any time by clicking Manage cookie preferences.
The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to protect against spam and automated submissions.
When reCAPTCHA executes, Google may set the _GRECAPTCHA cookie and process
technical request data (such as IP address and browser information) solely for security and
risk assessment purposes. This is not used for advertising.
See Google's Privacy Policy
for details on how Google processes this data.
If you accept analytics cookies, cld2day loads Google Analytics (GA4) to measure page visits,
broad usage patterns, and general tool interactions. IP anonymization is enabled.
Google Analytics may set the _ga, _ga_*, and _gid cookies
for measurement purposes. These cookies are never loaded before you give consent through the banner.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics measurement across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google's own data practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Consent preferences are stored in browser local storage rather than as a cookie. Some tools on the platform may also use session storage to hold temporary inputs or comparison selections during your visit. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to cld2day servers.
cld2day does not use advertising, remarketing, or behavioural tracking cookies. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated before any such technologies are introduced.
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block third-party cookies, clear existing cookies, or be notified before a cookie is set. Browser local storage can be cleared through the site data or storage section of your browser's developer tools or settings. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may affect the contact form or consent storage behavior.
Browser-specific guidance:
Where third-party services are in use — currently Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA — those providers may process data according to their own terms, privacy policies, and applicable data sharing agreements. cld2day does not control third-party data practices. Links to the relevant Google policies are included in the sections above.
This cookie policy may be updated to reflect changes in the website, integrations used, or applicable regulatory requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, reasonable notice will be provided where practicable.
